Brother, Husband, Dad and friend, you have come into our lives and quietly slipped away, leaving your footprints in the sand and in our hearts.
James Percell Clatterbuck went home to be with the Lord on August 6, 2003 at Mary Washington Hospital. He was born in King George County, Virginia, February 9, 1938 to Alberta Williams and Joseph Clatterbuck. He was a graduate of Ralph Bunch High School, and was soon employed as a general contractor. In his early childhood, he accepted Christ, was baptized at Mt. Bethel Center and became a member of the Saint Stephens Baptist Church.
James, known to family and friends as ''Sonny'' had a zest for life. He was very active in the community transporting the young and young at heart to and from various medical and business appointments, before his illness. He was preceded in death by, his son, Rodney Clatterbuck.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his devoted wife, Elsie L. Clatterbuck of King George; four sons, Eric P. Clatterbuck of Temple Hills, Maryland, Antonio B. Clatterbuck of King George, Virginia, Tracy R. Clatterbuck of King George Virginia and Gus Howard of King George, Virginia; two grandchildren, Andre Scott of King George, Virginia and Eric Reese Clatterbuck of Dale City, Virginia; one goddaughter, Carolyn Boxley; three sisters, Florence Matthews of Washington, D.C., Mary White of King George, Virginia and Helen White of King George, Virginia; one brother, Andrew Williams of King George, Virginia; a host of very special cousins, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
