James Barry Farmer

James Barry Farmer departed this life to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on October 21, 2004 at his home in Fredericksburg, VA after a battle with lung cancer.
''Barry'' as he was affectionately known by his friends and family was born in LaPlata, Md. on May 7, 1963 and raised in Indian Head, Md. He was the youngest child of the late Oscar and Doris Farmer. One sister, Marie Beason preceded him in death. He attended the Charles County public schools. He received Christ and joined the Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church in 1996. He was employed by the Washington Metropolitan Transit Authority (DC Metro) as a bus driver until his health failed.
Barry had a love for motorcycles and loved to attend the Race Track. He was very good with his hands and was called on to be the mechanic for his friends and family. He stood tall and proud and you knew him by his distinctive talk and walk.
Barry leaves to cherish his memory a devoted and loving wife, Trina Farmer, two sons; James and JeVonte Chase; two daughters, Tamia Chase and Nicole Farmer; Four sisters, two devoted, Germaine Queen and Joan Wallace, Carolyn Hunter and Gladys Queen; three brothers, John Queen, Robert and Allen Farmer; three brothers-in-law, Wade Wallace, Lionel Queen and Angelo Kelly; three sisters-in-law, Mahogany Baylor, Joyce Queen, and Tanya Kelly; mother-in-law, Irene Kelly; a devoted newphew, Kurt Queen; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends
Barry was loved by all and will truly be missed. He has touched so many lives and his legacy will live on in each of us.
