James B. Washington

James Burnett Washington was born April 18, 1933 to the late James Washington and the late Nannie Turner Washington Lucas. He went on to eternal rest peacefully and quietly on Thursday, December 17, 2009 at Washington Hospital Center. He was preceeded in death by his daughter Cathy Washington, step-son Allen Ware, brother Kenneth Washington and
sisters Annie Washington and Ester Crutchfield.

James, affectionately known as "Ning" and "James Burnett" by his family and friends joined the Beulah Baptist Church at a very early age. After moving to Washington DC , he fellowshipped with the New St. Paul Baptist Church, Washington, D.C under the leadership of the late Rev. Edgar Williams.
James found joy in family gatherings and his genuine love for people.

He was loved by all who knew him.He leaves to cherish his memory two children, Donna and Terry Washington of Spotsylvania, VA , two sisters Ruth Lucas of Washington, DC and Frances (James ) Davis of Ladysmith, VA. One brother, Robert Lucas of Washington, DC, one brother in law, Norman Crutchfield, step-mother, Alice Washington of Milford, VA, two aunts, Myrtle (Ira) Tinsley of Washington, DC and Demmie Washington of Milford, VA and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
