James Alfred Johnson

James Alfred Johnson was called home to be with the Lord on November 28, 2018 at Mary Washington Hospital in Stafford, Virginia. James was the son of the late Melvin and Emily Johnson of Caroline County, Virginia.

James received his education from Caroline County Public Schools. He accepted Christ and joined Ebenezer Baptist Church in Supply, Virginia, at an early age.

James began working at an early age on Camden Farm in Port Royal, Virginia. James also worked for D & A Foster, where he retired from in 1992.

James was a quiet person and always stayed to himself. He enjoyed fishing and sitting at Horne’s Restaurant, where he would watch the traffic pass by. James was a humble man, who would do anything for you.

James leaves to cherish a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. James, also, leaves to cherish Edwina, Jacqueline, Yoletta, Theresa, and James, who he was like a father to; close friend, Otis Wheeler; and niece Beverly, who helped take care of him.

James will be greatly missed, but his memory will live on forever.
