Jacqueline L. Jett, affectionately known as ''Snookie'' was born June 19, 1942 to the late Blanche Jett in Welcome, Va. Jacqueline departed this life, after a long illness, at her home, on November 27, 2007 at 2:35am. She was surrounded by her loving family.
At an early age, she accepted Christ and was baptized at the Salem Baptist Church, Welcome, Va. She loved to cook and spend special time with her family. She was well known for her many famous dishes, such as sweet potatoe and lemon merignue pies, fried chicken, macaroni and cheese and many other dishes to numerous to name. She loved to see people eat.
She leaves to cherish her memories, one son, Paul(Janice)Spotsylvania, Va; three daughters, Lolita and Shana Jett, King George, Va and Melissa Payton(Barry), LaPlace, LA; five grandchildren, Quitrell, Lakeshia, Courtney, Jasmine and Jerrell; two brothers, Frankie Jett(Edith), King George, Va and Thomas Jett, Stafford, Va; nieces, two devoted nieces, Alice Williams and Robin Jett; nephews, one devoted nephew, Timothy Jett; three close friends, Molly Calloway, Willette Davis and Shirley Whiting; and a host of cousins and friends.
