Isaac Mckelvin, Jr.

Isaac McKelvin affectionately known as "Mac" or "Ike", the son of the late Issac and Ida Mae McKelvin, departed this life on Sunday, February 5, 2017, 2:00 pm at Mary Washington Health Care. Mac was born August 24, 1937. He was one of five children, John H. McKelvin, Lucy Turner, Mattie Brown and William McKelvin who preceded him in death.

Mac attended D.C. public schools. He joined the U.S. Navy on March 30, 1955 and received an honorable discharge on March 7, 1958.

Mac worked a variety of jobs. He was a special policeman, shoe salesman, cab driver, Prince George County school bus driver, the owner & operator of Mr. Softee ice cream truck and owner & operator of Mac's Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning.

He leaves to cherish his memory; his wife, Mary; four children: Ida Smith of Landover, MD, Issac McKelvin, Jr. (deceased), Narnita McKelvin of Baltimore, Md, Issac C. McKelvin (Lisa) of Upper Marlboro, Md; eight grandchildren; one great grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews, many relatives and friends.
