Helena Ann Ross born to the late Richard and Alverta Ross on February 23, 1950 in Murfeesboro, North Carolina, departed this life on Friday, May 28, 2010 at Bowling Green Healthcare Center, Bowling Green, Va. She was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia R. Sheperd and a brother, Reginald A. Ross.
Helena attended Riverview School in Murfreesboro, North Carolina and Tilden High School in Brooklyn, New York. She continued her education within the nursing, secretarial, and business fields. Helena was last employed with Stock Building Supply Company until she migrated to Fredericksburg, Virginia.
Her life was forever changed when she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Saviour her relationship with GOD was very important to her. She loved church and was a faithful servant.
Helena was a strong and phenomenal woman, she was an extraordinary mother devoted to her own children and many others. She was filled with wisdom and understanding, her smile and laughter was contagious.
Helena leaves to cherish her memories three sons Tracey Turner of Staten Island, New York, Cedric Turner (Lynette) of Fredericksburg, Virginia, and Von Ross (Michele) of Brooklyn, New York; one daughter N'Dra Smith of Brooklyn, New York; two grandchildren (by marriage) Mariah and Mark; one sister Mattie R. Moye of Murfreesboro, North Carolina; two brothers Ivory and Victor Ross both of Murfreesboro, North Carolina; one aunt Jeanette Overton of Brooklyn, New York and a host nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
