Helen Blanche Cobb, daughter of the late Henry and Nancy Lucas, was born August 29, 1926. She departed this life after a brief illness at her residence on April 25, 2003 at 10:45 p.m.
Helen was educated in the Public School System of King George County, Virginia. At an early age, Helen accepted Christ and joined the Good Hope Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend Moses Bushrod.
Helen was united in Holy Matrimony to the late William Cobb and that union produced one son, Jeffrey Cobb.

Helen was employed at White Packing and Mount Rose Canning Company in King George County. For many years she worked as a Domestic for the Williams Families until her health failed.
Helen was loving, caring and very outspoken. She enjoyed all who enjoyed her. She loved to make ceramics and proudly displayed her work in her home. She also loved to sing-and could she sing. To sum up her life, ''Helen was Helen-but Helen was REAL!''
She leaves to cherish her memories a loving and devoted son, Jeffrey Cobb; five sisters, Azeal Whiting and Nancy Winfield of Baltimore, Md.; Claudia Smith of Tacoma Park, Md.; Elizabeth Peyton and Edna Lucas of King George County, Virginia; one brother, Cecil Lucas of Have de Grace, Md.; two brother-in-laws, Leroy Haskins and James Smith; seven sister-in-laws, Ida Lucas, Mary Lena Cobb, Mary, Lil, Fanny and Rosie. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
