Hausey Lee Woodfolk Jr., was born in Caroline County, Virginia, on April 2nd, 1941. He was the fourth of seven children of the late Hausey Lee Woodfolk Sr. and Dollie Norman Woodfolk.
Hausey grew up in Caroline, and attended the public schools in that county. He graduated from Union High School in 1959 and was first employed at Mary Washington Hospital as an intern. During his 30-year tenure, he received several awards and recognition for outstanding service. He was also a member of the Free and Accepted Masons of Welcome Lodge 125. While a member, he ascended to one of the highest levels in the organization and served as a Worshipful Master. He also served the Mason’s sister organization, the Eastern Stars during this time.
Hausey was a self-taught fix-it man or “Jack-of-all trades” around the house. He also did some car repair, plumbing work and he loved hunting, and fishing. Above all else, please don’t forget that he was a DIE-HARD Redskins’ Fan!
Hausey joined Zion Grove Baptist Church at an early age. He served on several committees while a member there. He also served as Chairman of the Trustee board for many years before retiring in 2019.
