Hattie. R. Johnson was born on September 30, 1920 in Passing, Virginia to the late James and Annie Saunders. She was married to the late Harry Johnson. She was surrounded by her loving and devoted family up to her last whisper.
Hattie was faithful to God and the Ebenezer Baptist Church where she was the Mother of the Church. She was a former devoted member of the Voices of Hope, Hospitality, Missionary Ministries, flower club and always attended Sunday school.
She begun working at an early age at Browns Motel and the Mount Rose Canning Company in King George, Virginia. Hattie loved to travel with her senior friends and looked forward to going to the Senior Citizen Center weekly. She also loved to fish, work in her beautiful flower garden, cook her special dishes, sew and most of all she loved having her grandchildren by her side.
Hattie was devoted mother, grandmother friend. She touched the lives of many and was loved by all. She was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters, her daughter, Shirley Ann Johnson and three sons: Clarence, Harry Jr. and Ralph Johnson.
She leaved to carry on the journey her sons: Benjamin (Sharon) of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania;Michael(Linda) of Lewisburg, Tennessee; Wayne of Arlington, Virginia and Timothy (Gaye) of King George, Virginia. Her daughters; Veronica Scott, Joyce Scott (Herman), Gladys Johnson, all of Supply, Virginia and Jacqueline Johnson of Arlington, Virginia; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; a special grand Nat (her Nattie) lived at the home; one Goddaughter, Karen Parker of Silver Spring, Maryland; a host of nieces, nephews and special friends, Elizabeth Green, Deaconess Mary Coleman, Estelle Clark and Edna Parker.
