Harry Latane Lee, Jr. son of the late Harry Latane Lee, Sr. & Elsie Lee departed this life on Sunday, July 10, 2016 at 6:19 p.m. in the comfort of his home. He was born on May 24, 1938 in Essex County, VA.

At an early age Harry accepted the Lord Jesus Christ and joined Ebenezer Baptist church. Harry attended Essex High School in Tappahannock, VA. After finishing school her joined the U.S. Army and served from 1963-1967. He received an honorable discharge.

In 1966, Harry married his former wife Gladys Johnson and to this union two children were born. He was a devoted and loving father.

He was employed with the Union local 657, DC, MD & VA for over thirty years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. His beautiful smile would light up the darkest room.

Harry was particularly skilled at working with his hands. He was an accomplished electrician, plumber, painter, carpenter and automobile technician. He was also known as an accomplished gardener. Every spring he planted an assortment flowers and vegetables around his house. He became such a successful gardener that he donated nearly as many vegetables to others as he kept for himself.

Harry was preceded in death by his parents Harry and Elsie Lee, three brothers; Robert Myers, Richard Lee William Lee, two sister-in-laws Lorraine Myers and Eula Myers, two nieces Ginger Samuel and Sasha Berry.

Harry leaves to cherish his loving memories his two sons; Alvin Lee (Kia) of Glen Allen, VA, Carl Lee of St. Stephens Church, VA, stepdaughter, Theresa Townes of Williamsburg, stepson Tony Ware of St. Stephens Church, VA, four sisters; Fannie Lee of King George, Ruth Norman of Port Royal, Dorothy Lee of Cheltenham, MD, Elsie Samuels (Leon) of Hustle, VA, three brothers; Arthur Myers (Nancy) of Rappahannock Academy, VA, James Myers of Fort Washington, MD, Roger Lee of King George, VA, eight grandchildren and one great grandchild, sister-in-law Sherry Lee of Niagara Falls, NY, one aunt Lucy Lee of Bordentown, NJ and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
