Geraldine Scott

Geraldine Scott daughter of Pauline C. Jackson and the late Robert L. Jackson was born November 24, 1950 in Caroline County, Va. She departed this life after a long illness at 10:30 p.m. at her residence December 4, 2002 in Woodford, Va.

Geraldine attended school in Hanover County. At an early age she accepted christ and joined the Mt Salem Baptist Church, Penola, Va.

In 1967, she was joined in holy matrimony to the late Alphonzo Scott, Sr. of Stafford, Va. from this union five children were born.

Geraldine was a former employee at Holiday Inn in Ashland as a housekeeping technician.

Geraldine loved cooking and her specialty was cakes and pies. She loved her family and enjoyed spending quality time with them. She was always willing to help others and do what she could for those in need.

Geraldine leaves to cherish her memory one daughter Frances of Woodford four sons Charles, James, Bryant all of Woodford and Alphonzo, Jr. of Fredericksburg, her mother, Pauline Jackson of Bowling Green; two sisters, Mary Jones and Beatrice Byrd of Ruther Glen, six brothers, Charles Jackson, Ernest Jackson and James Jackson all of Bowling Green, Curtis Jackson of Sparta, Robert Jackson of Oxon Hill, Maryland, and Linwood Jackson of Glen Burnie, Maryland; two brothers-in-law, Tim Bryd, and Willie Jones; two sisters-in-law, Maxine Jackson and Della Jackson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
