George Reginald Stepney

George Reginald Stepney was born on September 16, 1940 to John and Rosie Stepney in King George, Virginia. He accepted Jesus Christ at an early age and joined First Baptist Ambar. George was educated at Lambs Creek School and then on to Ralph Bunch where he graduated.
George and Gertrude were married on July 17, 1983. God blessed them with three children: George, Ted and Reginald. George was proceeded in death by his parents John and Rosie, his son George, brothers Charles, Marshall and David, his sister Blanche.
George worked for S.J. Bell in Alexandria. He also did construction work and worked for the City of Fredericksburg for many years. He loved people, singing and sports. He played baseball and was the catcher. George loved sliding into base so he wouldn’t be tagged out. He played his best and always wanted to win. He was a great guy and to know him was to love him.
He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Gertrude; sons: Ted (Faye) and Reginald (JoAnn); grandsons: Deonte (Kristen) and Raheem; great-grandchildren Kameryn and Karter; sisters: Jane Peyton, Edith Burnett (John) and Maggie Brown (James); a host of nieces, nephews, friends and relatives.
