Gail Hunter

Gail Hunter was born May 6, 1937 to the late Sherman and Edna Stewart died Friday April 9, 2010 at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her husband; Oliver, her son; Adam and her daughter Terry.

Gail attended the Fredericksburg City Public School system. She met and married Oliver Franklin Hunter and their union was blessed with seven children; Kevin, Shirley, Salinda, Adam, John, Terry and Nissa.


Gail who was affectionately called "Ma" by anyone she came into contact with; she had a way with words and was not to be taken for a joke. Everyone loved her and she loved everybody.


She leaves to cherish her memory five children Kevin O. Hunter and John F. Hunter both of Bowling Green, Va.; Shirley N. Hunter and Nissa N. Hunter both of Bowling Green, Va.; and Salinda Hunter of Kilmarnock, Va. three brothers Henry Stewart, Jr. of Stafford, Va.; John Stewart of Seattle, Washington, and Beverly Stewart, Sr.; one sister June Walker of, Kentucky, 17 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
