Francine B Pryor

Francine Barnitta Pryor, affectionately known as "Nita" entered into eternal rest on January 13, 2016 at Mary Washington hospital. She was born on September 2, 1952 in King George, VA to the late Joseph Pryor, Sr. and Gladys Whiting.

Nita was blessed with loving parents who cherished her from birth. A short time after she was born, doctors wanted to give up on her and speculated that she had less than a year to live. However, God had different plans and blessed her with her own guardian Angel, her Mom. Her Mom cared for her with an unconditional love full of grace and compassion, until she was called home. Those precious moments that they shared will never be forgotten.

Nita enjoyed spending time with her family. She would turn on the television, sing along with the commercials, and burst out in laughter. Soul Train, the Price is Right and the Young and the Restless were among her favorite television shows.

She had a beautiful spirit and was a blessing to all who came to know her. She will always hold a special place in the hearts of her family. She was greatly loved and her quiet presence will truly be missed.

She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Pryor, Sr. and her brother, Michael Pryor. She was also preceded in death by a dear cousin, Mertine Whiting, who would sit with her when needed.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her devoted and loving mother, Gladys Pryor of King George, VA; three brothers, Joseph Pryor, Jr. Of Truckee, NV; Spencer Pryor (Judy) and Randy Pryor, King George, VA; and four sisters, Ruby Jordan (Leon, Sr.) of King George; Faye Jones (George) of Clinton, MD ; Vallire Nelson (Jerry); and Alethia Johnson (Timothy) of King George, VA. One special friend, Shennah Owens; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. A very special thank you to all the loved ones who assisted Mom Gladys with her care.
