Flossie Hill

Deaconess Flossie Hill, the oldest daughter of the late Mary Ann White, was born April 19, 1912, in King George County, Va. She departed this life early Saturday morning, December 27, 2003 at the Heritage Hall Health Center.

At an early age, she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She was the Mother and a founding member of Peoples Union Baptist church where she remained a faithful member and worker as long as her health permitted. Serving as an Usher and Deaconess for many years.

Flossie attended the Rappahannock Senior Citizens Center where she experienced and enjoyed so much from the educational, training and development program, and serving there with the late Mrs. Mammie Burnett.

She was united in holy matrimony to Deacon Preston Hill for 43 wonderful years and gave him three step-children. Two preceded them in death, Nathaniel and Lois White.

She leaves to cherish her memory a very devoted husband, Preston Hill, her youngest daughter, Evangelist Georgia Frazier, one sister, Deaconess Laura HIll, 17 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren, 34 great-great-grandchildren, one son-in-law, Charles Frazier, one brother-in-law, Rufus Hill, as sister-in-law, Margaret Hill, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. she also leaves to cherish her memory Dr. Donald and Rebecca Reed and family, Dr. Alice Rabson and family. Both families were friends and formal employers.

A wonderful mother and grandmother! full of love and compassion, one who carried the ''Spirit of Giving''.
