Evelyn "Linda" Johnson was born January 22, 1948 in Trenton, New Jersey, the 4th of 6 children born to the late Evelyn and Lun Peterson.
"Linda", as she was affectionately known by family and friends, graduated from Hightstown High School in Mercer County New Jersey. She was married to Micheal Johnson and to this union eight children were born: Kimberly, Terrill, Kenyatta, Linje', Tiffany, the late Baby Boy (Lindell) Johnson, Christina and Jeremy. She was surrounded by family and friends up until her last whisper on January 30, 2017.
Linda was a woman who was highly respected, she had a heart of gold always putting her family and loved ones first. Her invigorating personality touched every person she crossed paths with leaving her footprints on their heart. She briefly worked for the state of New Jersey and later became a stay at home mother. She stayed active in the community by being a member and president of the PTO for her children's school in Willingboro New Jersey. She was one of the founders of Women of Tomorrow which is a mentoring program that empowers young girls and prepares them for adulthood. She was an advocate of programs that allowed parents to home school their children in small groups. She later moved to Lewisburg , Tennessee where she continued to enjoy politics, cooking, cleaning, investigative reporting shows, singing gospel music, educating others, arts, crafts and most of all helping others in need.
Linda was proceeded in death by one son, baby boy Lindell Johnson; she leaves to cherish her memories, Husband of 41 years, Micheal Johnson; seven children: Kimberly Livingstone (Kevin), Terrill Peterson (Nathaniel Evans), Kenyatta Peterson (James Grant lll), Linje' Johnson, Tiffany Johnson, Christina Johnson-Coney (Michael), Jeremy Johnson; twenty-three grandchildren; three great grandchildren; five siblings: Barbara Phillips, Lun (Buddy) Peterson, Kathleen Peterson, Carolyn Davis, Elaine Johnson, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
