Eugene Adolph Rollins, better known as “Buck,” son of the late William and Cora Rollins, departed this life Wednesday, May 8, 2002, at Southern Maryland Hospital in Clinton, Maryland. He was educated in the Essex County Schools.
At an early age, Buck accepted Christ and joined the St. Stephens Baptist Church, where he served faithfully. Later in life he became a Deacon and a member of the Usher Board until his health failed.
Buck served in the United States Army from 1942-1946 and received several medals, including a Bronze Star, and a Good Conduct Medal.
He is survived by five brothers, William C., Philip J., Leroy S., Clinton A., and Franklin Rollins, all of Maryland; three sisters, Susie Jeter of Philadelphia, PA, Frances Jeter and Lavern Parker of Maryland; five sisters-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Buck was a gracious person who lived a long and useful life. To know him was to love him. He devoted his life to helping others.
