And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. And you know the way to where I am going."
Emmett Peyton son of the late Herman and Geneva Peyton was born on August 02, 1946 in King George, VA. He departed his life on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg, VA.
Emmett attended Ralph Bunch School in King George, VA. He was employed at P.C. Goodloe and Son until he retired as a truck driver.
Emmett accepted Christ as his savior at an early age at First Baptist Church Amber, King George, VA. His favorite past time was drag racing. He was an avid race car driver until his illness. He was the King of the Beach Champion for several years.
Emmett was preceded in death by his parents Herman and Geneva Peyton; two brothers Robert Frye and Raymond Peyton; two grandchildren Marcus Brown and Tiera Smith.
Emmett leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 29 years Ella L. Peyton, two children; Amy Smith (Richard), William "Tony" Howard (Linda) all of King George, VA; two grandchildren Alea Smith and Richard Smith lll both of King George, VA; mother-in-law Amanda Bundy King George, VA; Nine step children: William (Gus) Howard, Charles (Otis) Howard (Tracey) King George, VA, Seymour (Moe) Howard (Linda) West Virginia, Rev. Donnell Howard (Barbara), Dese Howard (Elizabeth) both of Port Royal, VA, Theresa Howard, Joyce Newman (Douglas), Carolyn Johnson (Kirk) all of King George, VA, Tammy Conway Of Port Royal, VA; Three brothers: Earnest Peyton (Barbara), Herman Peyton (Alicia) and Lawrence Peyton (Amy) all of King George, VA; two sisters Ethel Mae (Robert) King George, VA and Carolyn Stevenson (Anthony) of Mechanicsville, VA. He has 15 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, a host of nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly and many loyal friends.
