Elsie W. Williams

Elsie W. Williams was born on March 29, 1917 and went home to be with the Lord on January 30, 2003. Elsie was the only child of the late Lucy A. Williams of Essex Co. and Philadelphia PA. Elsie Williams was born in Philadelphia, PA but raised in the Elmwood Area of Essex County, VA. She received her education at a boarding school in Fredericksburg, VA until the 10th grade, when she dropped out to care for her grandmother, Evilina Epps-Williams.

Elsie W. Williams, the Matriarch of the Williams Family, leaves to cherish her memory; one son, Harold D. Williams of Jacksonville, NC; one Goddaughter, Deirdre Smith of Fredericksburg, VA; three grandchildren, Michelle Berry of Palm Bay, FL, Harold D. Williams Jr. of Garner, NC, and Elaine Hill of Raleigh, NC; four great-grandchildren, Jaquetta Williams, Marcus Anderson, Tiffany Williams, and Kenon Berry; two grandson-in-laws, Edward Hill and Kenneth Berry; one granddaughter-in-law, Barbara Williams; a devoted cousin, Flossie Lewis; eleven nieces and nephews; nineteen great-nieces and nephews; twenty-three great great-nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
