Elizabeth Brown-Grinkley

Elizabeth (Liz) Brown-Grinkley of Fredericksburg, Virginia departed this life on November 24, 2002, at Mary Washington Hospital after suffering a long illness.

She was born April 21, 1960 to Betty Brown and the late Levi Brown. She attended the public school system in North Carolina. Upon graduating from High School in 1978, she continued her education at Fayetteville State University. She was employed by the U.S. Customs Service for over fifteen years.

Liz accepted Jesus Christ as her savior at an early age in North Carolina. After relocating to Fredericksburg, Virginia, she moved her membership to Morning Star Baptist Church in Montross, Virginia.

Liz and her daughter Shanea had a very special love and closeness for each other. Shanea was her life. There was nothing that she would not do for her and even others. She had that unconditional love. She always went that extra mile for her family and friends. She never worried about herself as long as she could make someone else happy. She touched so many lives and she will be truly missed.

She leaves to cherish her memory and rejoice in her home going, her husband, Hezekiah Grinkley; one daughter, Shanea Nicole; mother, Betty Brown of Robersonville, North Carolina; mother-in-law, Catherine Jackson, Robersonville, North Carolina; brothers, Milton Jenkins, Rochester, New York, Randolph Abdulah, Houston, Texas, Daniel Brown, Atlanta, Georgia, Tony Brown, Laurel, Maryland, Toby Brown, Williamson, North Carolina, Michael Brown, Raleigh, North Carolina, Jarvis Brown, Robersonville, North Carolina; two brothers preceded her in death, Levi and Tyrone Brown; sisters-in-law; brothers-in-law; nieces; nephews; cousins; and friends.

Lovingly submitted, The Family
