Elder Johnnie Mae Mcclain

Johnnie McClain , 83, of Kearneysville, WV departed this life suddenly on June 25, 2020 in Martinsburg Hospital, Martinsburg, West Virginia. She was the eldest of six children, born to Hamilton and Margaret Fortune of Hustle, VA. Johnnie was a 1955 graduate of Essex County High School. Later she attended William Pen University
Philadelphia, PA.

In 1964 Johnnie moved to Washington, D.C. and was employed by Washington Post News Company for several years before being employed by the IBM company, Bethesda, MD, where she subsequently retired in 1991. In the mist of her work pursuits, In 1972 she married Dennis McClain of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, to which a son was born in 1974.

In 2007, she moved to Kearneysville, WV where she immersed herself in following a life long passion of spreading the teachings of Jesus Christ. She was later ordained as a Baptist Minister.
