Edward E Gray

Edward E. Gray affectionately known as "Eddie", "Fast" and "Main Man" of Hustle, VA passed away Sunday, June 7, 2015 in Fredericksburg, VA. He was born August 24, 1946, in Alexandria, VA. He was predeceased by his parents, Harvey and Malvirse Gray; and grandmother Bertha Goudelock.
He graduated from Parker Gray High School in Alexandria in 1964. Eddie had retired from the job he loved at Goodwill Industries, where he trained physically and mentally challenged adults to perform custodial duties so they could obtain employment and possibly live independently in a group home. Eddie was proud of his work. He was very patient and kind, and was loved by all the participants. Eddie was a member of Salem Baptist Church in Jersey, VA.
He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Deborah S. Fields; puppies Andy and Abby; daughter Angela Gray-Johnson (Jeffrey Johnson); granddaughter Tia Gray-Johnson; sister Julia E. Turner (William Dennis Turner); brothers Harvey L. and Traverse Gray; father-in-law James L. Jefferies; mother-in-law Lois F. Jeffries; brother-in-law Garland J. Fields (Stephanie Macior-Fields); sister-in-law Donna Jeffries Erwin (Richard J. Erwin); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Including his best friend, Jerry Surratt.
