“There is no love stronger on this earth then that of a mother.”
Edith was called home in the early morning hours of February 9, 2023, while resting peacefully. She was an only child of Flossie Edwards born July 4, 1941, in Roanoke Rapids North Carolina. She spent more than 25 years living in Alexandria Virginia and over 30 plus years in King George Virginia. She always had a smile on her face and a positive outlook on life. As a medical professional, she went above and beyond the care for her patients and clients. Her life was the epitome of the golden rule “treat others as you would want to be treated”.
Edith Brown, a devote Christian of over 60 years, practiced daily devotions and meditations. Her dedication to Christ and doing what is right, personified her as a person. She truly talked the talk and walked in Christ. On any given day she would have inspirational music playing in her home as a message of peace and tranquility.
Edith leaves her husband of 36 years James L Brown of King George Virginia. Edith also leaves her three sons; Preston Geter of Reno Nevada, Mario Geter of Waldorf Maryland and Phillip Geter of Charlotte North Carolina. The lord blessed Edith with 13 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She is also survived by additional family and close friends.
