Douglas Macarthur Jefferson, Jr

Macarthur Jefferson born August 29, 1948, son of the late Horace Douglas. and Ellie Mae. Jefferson entered eternal rest surrounded by his loved ones on January 19, 2022.

Macarthur Jefferson graduated from Dunbar High School in Baltimore, MD. He furthered his education at Calhoon MEBA School of Engineering, Baltimore, MD. Macarthur Jefferson was a Merchant Seaman who travelled extensively

Macarthur Jefferson was well-known and well-loved by his community. He cared deeply for his friends, family, and his dog, Bishop. Macarthur leaves to mourn his brother, Dr. Alphine W. Jefferson (Ruther Glen, VA). He also leaves to mourn his devoted companion Gloria B. Samuel of Ruther Glen, VA. Tammy Samuel (Ruther Glen, VA), Maxine Gregory (James) of Richmond, VA, and Charles Samuel (Ruther Glen, VA). Five nephews, one great nephew and two great nieces; Extended family Betty Brown, Pearl Minor, and Shirley Young all of Ruther Glen, VA.; one brother and two sisters who proceeded him in death.

In addition to his family and friends, he was especially fond of his devoted friends Linwood Moore (“Lenny”), Steve Lee, Tim Moore, and Kermit Gwathmey.
