Doris Marie Campbell

Quietly and peacefully on April 24, 2020, the Lord called our loving mother and grand-mother to her eternal resting place. Doris Marie Campbell was born to the late George Lewis Lumpkin and Jeanette Robinson on February 8, 1948. She was raised in King George County, Virginia and received her education through the King George public school system. Doris was married to the late James David Campbell on December 7, 1968. To this union, two children were born; James Anthony, and the late Sonia Denise Campbell. After being a loyal employee for many years with the King George County school system, Doris decided to retire on May 1, 2014. After retirement, Doris enjoyed relaxing at home with her family, and spending her leisure time watching the Food Network channel. She had a kind heart and did not mind helping others.
She is survived by her son, James Anthony Campbell, and her grandson, whom she adored and cherished, Augustus O. Holmes; four sister-in-laws, Alberta Baylor of King George, VA, Josephine B. Campbell of Gainesville, VA, Ethel Scott (James) of King George, VA, Laura E. Harvey (Robert) King George, VA; one brother-in-law, Tony Brooks of King George, VA. She also leaves a host of relatives and friends.
