Delores was born in Penola, Va. She was raised in Caroline County and graduated from Union High School. She became a member of the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith at a young age. She was a lifelong member and served in several positions including: Usher, choir member, kitchen staff, local women’s assistant supervisor, local women’s supervisor, supervisor of the local Apostolic House, and Church Mother.

Affectionately known during her life as: Sis., Sister, Dee, Lois, “feets”, and Mother Johnson. She was beloved and adored by many. She had a mild manner and loved to laugh. We simply knew her as Mom.

The family will be having a closed casket, graveside service on August 19, 2023 at noon. The location is: 9301-9319 Woodford Road, Woodford, Va. 22580

Delores A. Johnson was widowed at the time that she passed from this life into Glory. She was preceded by her husband, Charles E. Johnson, who passed April 1993. She was also preceded by her parents: Edward Willis Alexander and Rebecca Ellen Claiborne, maiden. She was preceded by the following siblings: Yvonne Rebecca Alexander-Lewis, Edward W. Alexander, Juanita Mae Alexander, and Deacon Elwood W. Alexander.

She leaves to cherish her memory:

Her children: Anthony Sherrod Johnson- Rhonda, Evelyn Delores Screen-Donnie, Charles Leon Johnson, Regina Yvonne Johnson, and Jonathan Jermaine Johnson- Courtney.

Her living siblings: William McKinley Alexander-Shirley, Ruth Olivia Alexander-McMillian, Jesse Isaiah Alexander-Thelma, Levi Sherrod Alexander, James Frederick Alexander-Gail, Edna Maxine Alexander, and Naomi Rachel Alexander.

A host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and greatgrandchildren.
