Deborah Regina Parson affectionately known as Debbie departed this life on Sunday, May 23, 2010 at her residence in Caroline County, Virginia.
Debbie was born on June 10, 1957, the first of six children to Shirley Childs Latney and the late Weldon Lincoln Latney. She was also the daughter of Ernest and Shirley Baylor, Ernest was her biological father. Debbie attended Caroline County Public Schools, as an adult she worked at the A.P. Hill Petro/Iron Skillet for numerous years and finished off a Migard Window before becoming a fulltime mother, grandmother and housewife.
She loved to cook, fish, sing, dance and crack jokes but, she most of all she loved going to bingo with her bingo buddy Carmen Childs. On September 7, 1985 Debbie was united in holy matrimony to Jack Parson Sr., from this union five children were born. She also has one adopted son and stepdaughter.
Debbie leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband of 24 years Jack Dempsey Parson, Sr.; four daughters, Lakiesha Childs (Nathaniel) of Spotsylvania, Virginia; Lashay Parson (Michael) of Bowling Green, Virginia; Demita Parson (Lorenzo) of Bowling Green, Virginia; and Nicole Parson of Petersburg, Virginia; three sons Jack Dempsey Parson, Jr. (Tracy) of Stafford, Virginia; Akeem Parson of Fredericksburg, Virginia; and Ty’Kori Pettus of Stafford, Virginia; 18 grandchildren; Nakima, Vincent, Nathaniel, Kadijah, Keshyra, Mi’arie, Mariya, Alaya, Ty’Jon, Kendell, Bianca, Rakim, Brittney, Maliqua, Tiara, Ciara, Ameyah, Ka’siyah; four sisters Brenda Fortune and Cynthia (Calvin) Williams of Bowling Green, Virginia; Vonda Byrd (Edward) of Dumfries, Virginia; and Tina Minor (Earl) of Spotsylvania, Virginia; three brothers Michael Latney (Tawana) of Dumfries, Virginia; Dean Baylor of Ladysmith, Virginia; and Ernest Baylor of Maryland; Mother-in-law Catherine Parson of Petersburg, Virginia; Sister-in-laws Freda Parson of West Virginia and Chris Fauntleroy of Alabama; three brother-in-laws, Kenneth and Richard Parson of North Carolina and Robert Parson Alabama. She was preceded in death by her father (Weldon), Brother-in-law (Kevin), her grandchild Amari and her uncle (James). She is survived by five uncles, six aunts and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, cousins and friends.
