Deaconess Lillian Gladys Fleming Draper

Lillian Gladys Fleming Draper went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, August 2, 2009 at Mary Washington Hospital. She was born August 16, 1921 to William Edgar and Bessie Fleming.

She joined Third Mount Zion Baptist Church at an early age under the pastorate of Rev. M. Johnson where she served as a Deaconess, Missionary, Pastor's aide, member of the usher board and flower club.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Monroe Draper and two infant children, Vermell Draper and Thomas M. Draper. She leaves three daughters, Mary D. Jones (Aloysius), Gladys M. General (James), and Virginia D. Roman (Jose). Three sons Arthur L. Draper, Purcell L. Draper (Towanda) and Darnell W. Draper (Wanda). Three sons-n-law and two daughters-n-law. Three sisters Maggie B. Waller, Mildred L. Fleming and Trudell E. Oden and one aunt, Elizabeth Glasco. She also leaves 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

John 5:24-- Truly, truly, I say to you he who hears, My word, and believes Him who sent Me has eternal life and does not come into judgement but has passed out of death unto life.
