David N Jett

David Nathaniel Jett, Jr., son of the Naomi and David N. Jett, Sr., was born on December 13, 1932, in the District of Columbia, Washington, D.C. He departed this life into a peaceful rest at 10:58 a.m. on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at the Alexandria Hospital. He received his education from the King George Training School in Edgehill, Virginia. He was united in Holy matrimony to Lula M. Kyle and from this union, three daughters and one son were born. He was preceded in death by his daughters Karen P. Jett-Burt and Dee Ion Jett. At the age of 18 he was drafted into the U.S. Army, Fort Belvoir, Virginia (March1953-1955). After the Military he continued his Education at the Watch Making Training School. He was employed at the Alexandria Health Department in 1957. He retired in 1991 as the Director of Faculty Maintenance. He was a devoted member of the Elks Lodge #48 in Alexandria, Virginia for over 40 years, a member of the Past Exalted Rulers Council #25 for long and faithful service as Right Antler of Northern Virginia Council #25 (1986), and a member of the American Legion. His favorite Charities were the Eastern Seals, Disabled Veterans, and the National American Legion. Above all, he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 67 years Lula M. Jett and daughter Donna Jett-Boulware both of Alexandria, Virginia, his son David N. Jett III, 6 grandchildren: Evette Jett, Nikki Jett, Tempest Boulware, Tobias Burt, Taheem Watson and Joshua Kelly, 5 great grandchildren: Caroline Jett, Zyiah Smith, Demir Smith, Truth Harrison and Honesty Harrison, 2 brothers: Maurice E. Jett, Sr. (Phyllis), and Norman L. Jett Sr. (Esther) both of Woodbridge, Virginia, 2 step-sisters: Shirley Waddy (Benjamin) of King George, Virginia and Geraldine Jackson of Dumfries, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
