David J. Stepney

David John Stepney(Step) departed this life Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at the Mary Washington Hospital, Fredericksburg, Virginia.

David was born April 27, 1927 to the late John and Rosie Stepney in King George, Virginia.

David was united in marriage to the late Leathia Robinson Stepney in 1950.

David received his education at Ralph Bunch High School.

David accepted Christ at an early age and joined First Baptist Church, Ambar, King George, Virginia. He was a loving and kind man that was very well known.

David was employed with the Naval Surface Warfare Center Naval Base in Dahlgren, Virginia for 36 years until his retirement.

David leaves to cherish his memories, seven sons, David Stepney, Jr(Diane) of Trenton, New Jersey, Michael Stepney of Alabama, Minister Steve Stepney(Minister Cyndi), Wayne Stepney(Cornelias), Charles White(Helen), Frank White and Kenneth Stepney, all of King George; five daughters, Nora Noya of Alabama, Barbara Swann, Lisa Harris(Carl) and Georgia Elam of King George and Delois Young(John) of Maryland; one step-son, Wayne White(Diane) of King George; twenty-three grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; three sisters, Jane Peyton, Edith Burnett(John) and Maggie Brown(James) all of King George; one brother, George Stepney(Gertrude) of King George; and a host of uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
