Curtis Lee Jones

Curtis Lee Jones was born on February 6, 1944, in King George, Virginia. He was the eldest child of the late Phillip and Viola Ware Jones.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Sterling Thomas Jones, and Charles Wayne Jones.

He attended Essex County Public Schools in Tappahannock, Virginia. He worked for TNT Construction/Masonry in Maryland for many years and where he found his passion working with concrete. He also enjoyed working on cars. His family meant a lot to him especially spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He leaves behind to cherish fond memories of him, his loving and devoted wife Clara Tolson Jones. From this Union five children were born. Quentin Jones (Colleen) of Tappahannock, Virginia; Kevin Jones (Sheila) of Fredericksburg, Virginia; Thomasine Byrd of Waldorf, Maryland; Don Jones (Jamillah) of Loretto, Virginia; Sean Jones (Tasha) of Fredericksburg, Virginia. He also was a loving father to Michael Kelley (Heather) of Naggs Head, North Carolina; Normeeka Jones of Fredericksburg, Virginia; Latonya Kerr of Upper Marlboro, Maryland; Kyron Glasker of Temple Hills, Maryland; Kim Glasker of San Antonio, Texas; and Kelly Glasker of Fort Washington, Maryland; 30 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren five siblings: Kenneth Jones, Phillip Jones, Jr, Dorthea Thomas (Johnny), Goldie Mae Wheeler, and Larry Jones.

One aunt, Pearl Ware Holmes of Supply, Va and one uncle, Bernard Ware of Salisbury, MD. And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and a close friend Theodore Jackson.
