Clifford Dewitt Commodore

Clifford Dewitt Commodore was born to the late Daisy and Thomas Commodore on August 4, 1923. He was one of three children. He departed this life on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at 8:30p.m in Providence Hospital in Washington, D.C.

Clifford attended the Washington, D.C. Public Schools and graduated from Cardozo High School. He joined the United States Army and retired from the United States Department of Agriculture in the Poultry Division, Consumer and Marketing Service in Washington, D.C. after 22 years of service

Clifford was united in Holy matrimony with Mary Ellen Carter of Bowling Green, Virginia on March 29, 1948.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Daisy and father, Thomas; and two siblings, sister, Princess Posey; brother, Thomas Commodore. He leaves to cherish his memory a loving and devoted wife of 64 years, Mary C. Commodore; three sister-in-laws and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
