Clarence Leon Carter

Clarence Leon Carter, Sr., of Fredericksburg, Virginia (formally of Richmond, VA) passed away at home on Sunday, November 23, 2014. He is the son of the late Maggie James Carter and Carl Carter and the beloved foster son of the late Mr. & Mrs. William Thompson.

Clarence enjoyed a 27 year career in the U.S. Army, where he served tours of duty in Vietnam, Desert Storm, Thailand, Korea, Germany and Italy.

He is survived by his wife: Pauline Manns Carter, son: Clarence L. Carter, Jr.; and daughters: Shawn Yvette Carter and Whitney Carter. He is also survived by five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, five sisters, five brothers, and a host of other relatives and friend.
