Charles Henry Davis, Jr.

Charles Henry Davis, Jr., departed this life Monday, October 21, 2002 at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg, Virginia.

He was born in King George County, Virginia on February 16, 1940 to the late Charles and Grace Davis. He was educated in the King George County Schools and joined Union Bethel Baptist Church in King George at an early age.


Charles was a former employee of Toliver Concrete of King George, Virginia. ''Jake'' as some affectionately called him had numerous friends and relatives that he enjoyed being around.

He leaves to cherish his memories: one daughter, Melinda C. Gray, King George, Virginia; two sons, Charles E. Davis, King George, Virginia and Vernon D. Davis, Spotsylvania, Virginia; two daughters-in-law, Valerie Davis, King George, Virginia and Marilyn Davis, Spotsylvania, Virginia; five sisters, Elizabeth Davis, Alice Smith, Shirley Johnson, Ella Davis, King George, Virginia, Lucy Mae Davis, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; two brothers, Irvine Davis, Maryland and Lynwood Davis, King George, Virginia; one brother-in-law, George Johnson; one sister-in-law, Lavina Davis; five grandchildren, Meshunda Davis, Tyana Brown, Monique Davis, King George, Virginia, Vernon D. Davis, Jr. and Dametrice Green of Spotsylvania, Virginia; four very special friends, Floyd Johnson, Jr. (Buck), Kevin Johnson, George Johnson and Margaret Buckner; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
