Cecil Lee

Suddenly on Saturday, March 19, 2005, my beloved brother and friend departed this life.

Cecil was born on July 20, 1939 in Essex County, Va. to the late Alvinia Lee. Grandson to the late Nathaniel and Lucy Lee. He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized and joined Ebenezer Baptist Church in Supply, Va. He worked for many years in the District of Columbia Public School System.

He resided at Mariner Health of Bethesda, Maryland until his death.

Cecil was a loving brother to Lucy Marie Lawhorn and loving brother-in-law to John L. Lawhorn, Sr. He was a kind, gentle and giving person who brought laughter to everyone that he met. He always found the time to care for the needs of others through encouragement or even just a gentle smile.

Cecil leaves to cherish his memories, his sister Lucy Marie Lawhorn and loving brother-in-law to John L. Lawhorn, Sr.; two nieces, Doris Robinson and Ellen Delinda Lawhorn; one nephew, John L. Lawhorn, Jr.; one nephew-in-law, Scott Robinson; four great nieces, Nikita Lawhorn, Keelae Lawhorn, Jada and Alicia Robinson; one great nephew, Jonathan Lewis II; two great-great nieces, Kiara and Khari Lawhorn; one uncle-in-law, Thomas Green; one aunt-in-law, Lucybell Byrd; his good friend Betty Smith; numerous cousins and a host of other reatives and friends.
