Calvin Bernard Taylor, Jr., the beloved son of Calvin B. Taylor, Sr. and Wanda Gardner Taylor was born June 20, 1990 in Fredericksburg, VA. He was affectionately called "CJ".
He graduated from Caroline High School, Milford, VA in 2008. He also attended Germanna Community College. He was baptized in 2000 at Shiloh Baptist Church (Old Site), Fredericksburg, VA under the leadership of Pastor Emeritus Lawrence A. Davies, where he remained a member. At an early age he was a member of the Junior Usher Board.
CJ was a very loveable and happy young man. He had a contagious smile and would always make you feel special. He was a great listener and was always willing to help you resolve a problem. CJ was a great debater and could always rationalize his point. Once his mind was made up, it was difficult to get him to change his point of view. He loved all types of music and enjoyed playing video games. He was a true performer, which was displayed through his enjoyment of Karaoke. CJ especially enjoyed playing beyblades with his younger brother, Aaron. He often participated in Yu-Gi-Oh card tournaments. He was an avid fan of wrestling and had a desire to attend Wrestling School. CJ was employed McDonald's, Thornburg, VA.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Moses R. Taylor and Edgar L. Gardner, Sr.
CJ leaves to cherish his memories, his parents Calvin and Wanda Taylor; a brother, Aaron Lee Gardner Taylor; maternal grandmother, Mary Ray Gardner (Goldsboro, NC); paternal grandmother, Lottie B. Taylor (Woodford, VA); uncles, Rev. Dr. E. McKinley Taylor (Lynchburg, VA), Edgar L. Gardner, Jr. (Stephanie) San Antonio, TX; aunts, Charlene P. Gardner (Roanoke, VA), Pamela D.
