Bessie Lee (Jones) Feaster departed this life to join her savior on October 22, 2010, at her residence surrounded by loved ones.
Bessie L. Feaster was born to the late George Thomas and Elzabeth Rebecca Jones in Spotsylvania County. Mrs. Feaster attended schools in Spotsylvania County before they were segregated. Bessie was a longtime in-home nurse and also worked at Martin's Manor for over fifteen years as head cook, she was also a member of Second New Hope Baptist Church, Summit, Virginia She was known to many as "Ms. Betsy".
Bessie was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be greatly missed.
Preceding her in death are her parents; a brother, George Jones, Jr.; two sisters, Emma Jane Hilliard and Louise Jordan; a son, Robert Jones, Sr.; and a loving devoted companion, Johnny Wilcox.
Mrs. Feaster is survived by her husband, Thomas P. Feaster, Sr. of Pennsylvania; three sons, Cornelius Pendleton, Fred Feaster and wife Angela, and Thomas Feaster, Jr., all of Spotsylvania County; five daughters, Erika Hilliard and husband Clifton, Donnaill Feaster and husband Douglas, Betty Parker-Dill and husband Melvin, and Patricia Feaster, all of Spotsylvania, and Elnora Delcid and husband Jose of Winchester; nineteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three brothers, Russell Jones of Sposylvania, Melton Jones and wife Mattie of Washington, D.C., and James Jones and wife Ann Ruth of Maryland; and one sister, Lillian Manuel of Spotsylvania; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and other relatives; and a very special longtime friend, Naomi Henderson.
