Bessie Ann Bumbrey

Bessie Ann Bumbrey daughter of Deacon George and Minister Annie L. Parker was born June 8,1952 in Westmoreland Co.,Va., departed this life January 8, 2004, peacefully at the home of her parents at 8:15 p.m. after a long battle with brain cancer. Bessie was a faithful member of the Good Hope Baptist Church where she sang on the Voices of Hope and was a member of the Women's Ministry. She was a former Employee of White Packing Co. in Dogue for 18 yrs. She leaves to cherish her memory one son Leroy V. Bumbrey of King George; her parents Deacon George and Annie L. Parker of King George; three brothers Rev. James E. Parker and wife Barbara of King George; George G. Parker and wife Debbie of Chesapeake; Gregory F. Parker of King George; and one sister Rachel D. Parker of New York. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
