Berta R. Taylor

Berta Rebecca Taylor, 86 passed away at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg, Virginia on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at 1:25p.m.

Born May 7, 1927 in the Weedonsville area of King George County, Virginia to the late Nannie Muse Davis and Lloyd Davis, Sr. She married Theodore Roosevelt Taylor, Sr. on October 2, 1948.

Berta was a life time member of Union Bethel Baptist Church in King George, Virginia. She will especially be remembered for her unforgettable laughter, kind heart, quick wit, and loving spirit. She was always full of laughter and enjoyed being surrounded by family and friends.

Berta was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore Roosevelt Taylor, Sr., her siblings, Daniel Davis, George Davis, Hezekiah Davis, Lloyd Davis, Jr., Martha Horne, Francis Iler, Catherine Frye, and Caroline Davis.

Berta leaves to cherish her loving memory son, Theodore R. Taylor, Jr. of King George, VA; daughter, Nannie Taylor of Spotsylvania, VA; two grandsons, James Taylor (Christina "CJ") of Spotsylvania, VA and Michael Taylor of King George, VA, seven great- grandchildren; three sisters, Ida Pearson of East Orange, NJ, Shirley Bratton of Dahlgren, VA, and Rebecca McDowney of King George, VA, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and family dog Chiko.

Mrs. Taylor's family would like to thank Mary Washington Hospital "Hospice" unit, Woodmont Center, and Carriage Hill for their care and support.
