Bert Harvey

Bert Harvey, son of the late Willie and Henrietta was born November 16th, 1927 in King George, VA. He peacefully entered eternal rest on Monday, December 22, 2014 at Providence Hospital after a short illness.
He accepted Christ at an early age and joined the Salem Baptist Church. He received his education in the public school system in King George, VA.
He was joined in Holy Matrimony to Leoda Garland on June 25, 1955. To this union two children were born.
He was employed by the Federal Reserve Board, retiring in 1990.
He was an avid hunter and a member of the Viking Hunting Club.
Bert leaves to cherish his memory, a loving and devoted wife of fifty-nine years, Leoda Garland Harvey, two sons; Bertram Garland Harvey (Robyn) of King George, VA and Brent Douglas Harvey of Washington, DC. Seven grandchildren: Krystal Alston (Saad, Sr.), Brent Harvey, Jr., Brandon Harvey, Jamal Harvey, Kendall Harvey, Tyren Frye and Keenan Vaughn; two great-grandchildren: Saad, Jr. and Isiah Alston. Two sisters, Louise Campbell and Mollie Calloway. A special devoted niece Roberta Samuel and a host of nieces, nephews and many friends.
