Beatrice Oxendine Deloach

Deaconess Beatrice Oxendine DeLoach was born in Marianna, Florida, on January 2, 1913, to the late Atlas and Margaret Webb Oxendine. She was the wife of the late Deacon Walter J. DeLoach. She resided in Coatesville, PA in Chester County most of her life. In June of 1978, Deaconess Beatrice DeLoach moved to West Palm Beach, Florida with her husband and mother. Her father Atlas Oxendine passed away in 1966 in Coatesville, PA. Her husband and mother passed away in West Palm Beach, Florida in August and December in 1986, respectively. Her brother William Oxendine and sister Lillian Johnson also preceded her in death. She moved to Virginia in 2002.

She received Christ at an early age and she never looked back even through the valley and shadow of death. Her desire was to be like Jesus, she loved the Lord, and her neighbor as herself. As her grandson Sidney would say, "I have a Nana who truly loves the Lord. She realized that it was God's will that she must go." He kept her here for a long time and she was not afraid of dying. She had the assurance of the song "Rested on the Promises of God".

Bea as she was affectionately known left this old world behind on November 18, 2011. She leaves to mourn a precious family and numerous friends: daughter Martha J. Shuler of Downingtown, PA (Fiancé Rev. Stanley H. Holmes); son Barry J. DeLoach (Barbara) of Port Saint Lucie, FL; daughter Barbara A. DeLoach (Fiancé Cedric L. Pugh) and grandson Sidney DeLoach-Overton of Stafford with whom she resided. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; a niece Cassandra Harmon; a nephew, William B. Miller; her spiritual son and daughter Rev. Dr. and Mrs. Joel Nelson; cousin Shirley Brown and family of Coatesville, PA; Elizabeth Franklin and family of Philadelphia, PA; Billie Donovan and Children of New York, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
