Barbara Ann Lucas

On Friday September 16, 2011, Barbara Ann Lucas was called to rest. She was born in Westmoreland County, Virginia to the late Cleveland and Ruth Smith on February 15, 1956.

Barbara grew up in Westmoreland County and was educated in the Westmoreland County Public School System.

She accepted Christ at an early age and joined New Monrovia Baptist Church. It was there that she exercised her love for God through her worship. She was a member of the usher board and choir.
She united in holy matrimony to John Lucas in 1995; she was a devoted wife, a loving mother and grandmother.

She leaves to cherish many loving memories with her husband, John Lucas, her son Larry Lucas, Jr. (Monica), her granddaughter, Skyy all of Colonial Beach, Virginia, her four brothers, Fred Smith (Ivy) of Washington, D.C., Cleveland Smith (Diana), Bonnie Smith (Grace), and Danny Smith, 1 sister Maggie Jordan all of Colonial Beach, Virginia, mother-in-law, Edna Lucas, sisters-in-law Edith Muse of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Ernestine Johnson of Clinton, Maryland, brothers-in-law, William Lucas (Marnito)of Rhode Island, Sylvester (Debbie), and Mark Lucas (Beverly) all of Washington, D.C., and one devoted friend Faye Montague of Fredericksburg, Virginia, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
