On Saturday, November 23, 2013 God called one of his precious Angels home. Amber Lexis Sanders went to a home where there is Joy, Peace and Happiness.
Amber Sanders was born on December 29, 1994 to Terrance Pollard and Lisa Sanders. Amber graduated from Washington and Lee High School in June 2013.
Amber confessed her faith and love for God and was baptized July 2012 and became a faithful member of New Monrovia Baptist Church, where she served faithfully until God extended his almighty hand of Love. Amber attended Sunday School, Regular Service, and Bible Study weekly. If there was Church service, Amber was there. This is where she learned her favorite scripture John 14:1 (Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in ME) and those were words she lived by.
Amber had a passion for keeping herself beautiful.
She loved to do her hair and makeup to compliment her heartwarming smile. Amber's favorite past time was reading books on her Kindle and studying her Bible. Amber's favorite songs were "Life and Favor" and "I give myself away." Amber was employed by Greenfield Nursing Home in Massaponax, VA, which she loved because of her passion to work with the elderly. Even though she was employed for a short time, she took pride in her job and was adored by her coworkers.
Amber was preceded in death by her grandfather Tyrone Sanders and her great-grandmother Clara Johnson, whom she cared for spiritually and physically.
Amber leaves to cherish her loving memory; her mother Lisa Sanders of Hampton, VA; her father Terrance Pollard and Stepmother Bernetta Smith of Colonial Beach, VA; one sister Ariel Smith, three brothers DeMarco Smith, Jacoby Smith and Sedrick Smith all of Colonial Beach, VA; one niece Sarae Shade. Grandparents Thomas and Caroline Pollard of King George, VA; Velma Sanders of Hampton, VA; Cleveland and Diana Smith of Colonial Beach, VA; Virginia Pierce, a special grandmother of Hampton, VA. A host of great aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A special friend whom she called her Spiritual Praying Sister - Mircale Williams of Washington, D.C.
