Alma "Floretta" Reese, daughter of the late Paul and Audrey Ashlock, departed this life June 9, 2012 at Mary Washington Hospital.
She was born on January 28, 1959; in Richmond, Virginia at an early age she accepted Christ and joined New Liberty Baptist Church in Beasley, Virginia, where she served as a member of the Voice of Praise. She was a graduate of Essex High School in Tappahannock, Virginia with the class of 1978. She retired from CVS Warehouse in 2002 after working 17 years. She was a faithful member of the Bowling Green Hornets Softball Team.
Floretta was a kind and loving person who enjoyed life. She would help anyone who needed her.
She was preceded in death by her Mother, Father, Sister and Brother.
She leaves to mourn one daughter Yolanda Ashlock of Fredericksburg, Virginia; two sons Larry Reese, Jr. and Daveyon Reese both of Fredericksburg, Virginia; her finance Simon Lumpkin of Fredericksburg; four grandchildren James "Quan", Jarius, Zykei, and Amora; two brothers Paul and George Ashlock of Tappahannock, Virginia; four sisters Susie (James) Frye of Stafford, Virginia; Audrey (Warren) Rich of Caret, Virginia; Marie (Wayne) Harris of Tappahannock, Virginia and Lisa Ashlock of Fredericksburg, Virginia; five nieces and two nephews; five aunts Frances Pratt, Iona Bundy, Ada Ashlock, Sylvia Ashlock of Tappahannock, Virginia; Laura Ashlock, Pennsgrove, New Jersey; one uncle Thomas Pratt of Tappahannock, Virginia; five special friends James Thompson, Larry Reese, Sr.; Debra Pratt, Joyce Pratt, and Martha Lee; one devoted niece Jalessa Ashlock and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
