Alice E. Hardman Harris

Alice E. Hardman Harris daughter of the late Luther and Mamie Hardman was born February 8,1914 in Milford, Va. She departed this life into a peaceful rest on Thursday morning February 13,2003 at 2:05am at her residence. She was the widow of the late Henry Harris. She accepted Christ in 1927 and joined The St. James Baptist Church under the pastorate of Rev. E.L.R.Guss. She was a very active and faithful member serving as Pres. of Senior Choir for 10 yrs.,Treasurer of Building Fund for 11yrs.,She was Chairman of Woman's Day from 1975 to 1986, Alice was Vice Pres. of the Woman's Club for 17yrs. She was made a Deaconess in 1982 and ordained Deacon on Sept. 8,1991. She leaves to cherish her memory a foster daughter Patricia Yerby; 3 sisters-in-law Edna Hardman; Florence Hardman;and Mary Hardman who has been a wonderful friend and helper through the years.1 brother-in-law Ernest Harris; 5 nieces 1 nephew, a host of cousins, friends and Dr. Baugham and The St James Church Family.SERVICES RESCHEDULED DUE TO WEATHER, NEW TIMES ARE POSTED!!!
