Alberta Marie Stuart was born to the late William and Marie Brown-Frazier on November 10, 1926. She left this life in peace on September 26, 2017 surrounded by her family. She was 1 of 8 children She was preceded in death by her 4 loving sisters Mary, Beulah, Laura and Sophia. Leaving with love her 2 sisters Clara and Dorothy and 1 brother Charles (Georgia).
At a young age Alberta was baptized as a member of People's Union Baptist church where she served as a dedicated servant of God as a faithful Deaconess and Usher until her health failed her. Alberta took pride in living her life as a Virtuous woman of God marrying that one man of 64 years, the late George Stuart in October of 1944, who affectionately called her Bertie. To this union 4 loving daughters were born. Mary and a stepson Milton who preceded her in death. Helen (John), Gloria Jean (Jeanie), and Laura, and a Godson George Ward.
She dedicated her life to being a loving wife, mother and grandmother instilling her faith in God, love and wisdom. She was Granny to her Grandchildren John, Lesley, Rodney, Robyn, Sharain, Jennifer, Raymond, Amy and DeAngelo. She loved each and every one of them individually and unconditionally without any favor. From the 9 grandchildren she was blessed with 17 Great Grandchildren that she referred to with love as the "Little People", they all assisted as much as possible with her care with a special acknowledgment to Jerald, Jamal, Tyra and Jonathan.
Alberta's last year on this Earth represented her life. She looked forward to going Home to Glory to be with her husband George, her daughter Mary and sisters. She was in service daily praying and singing for the Lord. She prayed daily for all who took care of her and the days she couldn't they would help her or continued on for her. With special thanks to Renee Brown who assisted with her care. Also, to Jovan Scott and his brothers Rodney Jr., and Antwan for being there without hesitation, when needed.
