Albert (Bert) Shanklin was born June 5, 1945 in King George, Virginia; he was the son of the Annie Bell Shanklin.
Bert worked for the DC Inspection Station in Washington, DC for over twenty-five years as an inspector until he retired. He was a very quiet person and he loved helping anybody that needed his help. He enjoyed spending time with his Seven-Eleven crew and friends in the Trailer Park. He loved working on cars and would even work on cars he knew should have gone to the junk yard. He also loved going fishing and cutting grass; he was one of a kind.
On Saturday, September 28, 2013, God called him home to eternal life. He leaves to cherish his memory his son, Tony D. Johnson; grandson, Trayvone D. Beverly both of King George, Virginia; brother, Oliver Harvey of Dale City, Virginia; aunt Elizabeth Whiting of King George Virginia; one niece; two nephews; two dear friends, Hardy Rich and Charles Haskins whom he loved to go fishing with doing his spare time; also his good friends, Doc and Doris with a host of other relatives and friends.
