Adeal Ann Jackson Scott was born on August 3, 1923 in King George County to the late Jack and Mamie Jackson. She departed this life on Sunday, May 25, 2014 at Mary Washington Hospital after a long illness.
Adeal was educated in King George County Public School. She joined the Peoples Union Baptist Church at an early age. She was a member until her health began to fail. She was a member of the Gospel Chorus, the food committee, the deaconess Board and the missionary. She supported her church spiritually and financially.
She was married to the late James Scott for 62 years and from the union three children was born; Shirley Frazier, who preceded her death, Hazel Scott and James Scott, Jr.
She leaves to mourn one daughter, Hazel Scott of King George, VA and one son, James Scott Jr. of Washington, D.C., one sister and brother in Law- Agnes and Rev. Ben Wilder of Bladensburg, MD, two sisters in laws, Sarah Triplett and Mabel Scott of Dahlgren, VA; five grandchildren: Diane Frazier of Spotsylvania, VA, Angela Brown (fiancé-Richard Smith) of King George, VA, Angela Frazier of King George, VA, Clinton Frazier(Latrease) of Fredericksburg, VA and Andre Lewis of Maryland; eighteen great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, one god child, Regina Frye of King George, numerous nieces nephews, friends and her caregiver Charlotte Slater of Colonial Beach, VA.
