Addie B. Parker

Addie B. Parker was called to Glory by her loving Father early Thursday morning, February 26, 2009 at her residence in King George County. She was born on May 18, 1932 to the late Raymond and Blanche E. Barclay. In addition to her parents, Addie was predeceased by her first husband Robert C. Owens.

At an early age, Addie was baptized and became a member of the Little Ark Baptist Church. She retired from the King George County Public School System after working for 32 years as a cook and aide. She also was employed with the King George Sheriff's Department as a security guard at school basketball and football games.

She is survived by her loving husband John and six children: John V.(Theresa) of Montross, Jerome(Joyce) of Essex, Timothy(Angela) of Texas, Roberta, Shennah, and Pamela, all of King George. She also leaves to cherish her memory two sisters: Martha Johnson and Blanche Barclay, three brothers: Raymond Barclay, Rev. Thomas Barclay (Martha), and Randolph Barclay (Zella), 18 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren, seven sisters-in-law, and four brothers-in-law.
